You're looking at probably the warmest vintage military coat on earth. In the rarer color: White.
There are several names given to this coat and officially they were named M/1909 & M/1913. In popular speech they're called either "Lottapäls or Livpäls" the first meaning "Coat of Lotta" which is a very swedish girI name and the latter "Life Coat" since troops were most likely depending on this warm coat in freezing temperatures of northern Sweden.
It was issued to swedish troops in the 40s and saw usage all the way until the 70s. The first model in white came in the 1910s/1920s and the coat was fully in skin.
The outer shell is made of heavy cotton canvas and fully lined with sheepskin.
Color: Off white
Condition: Minor stains and dirt marks on canvas. Missing one button but it is inside the pocket so you just have to sew it back on.
